The Terrace continues its mission to become one of Yorkshire’s best house music venues

We’ve hosted Utah Saints, Allister Whitehead, and The Secret DJ and now we’ve got the ‘King of Clubs’ coming to The Terrace (so called by Mixmag and they know a thing or two). Anyone who is into their dance music in the north of England, will know the name Dave Beer. The founder of the legendary Leeds club, Back to Basics (the longest running house night in the world), Dave has been at the forefront of the house music scene since the early 90s. Read more about Back to Basics, the club event that transformed Leeds into a clubbing destination, in this interview that Dave did with DJ Mag.

Back to Basics

A Session with Dave Beer: 8 June

You can be a part of something special when Dave brings his cutting edge, underground house music sound to Dewsbury. Not often seen at intimate venues like ours, he’ll be taking the party into the early hours. Dave himself has created this mad, but amazing artwork for the gig, which could even become a collector’s item as we continue our mission to put The Terrace on the map as a dance music venue!

Dave will be supported by some of the best local dance DJ talent, including Matthaus with Pat Fulgoni performing live house vocals, Sash Van Wah from Boombox Circus, Paul Birkbeck, and Steve Kirk.
