The County is the baby of the Beerhouses family, joining us in 2022. In that short time, we feel we have made our presence felt, being included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and winning Huddersfield CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 2024. The pub is also available for private hire so you can have the whole place to yourself, if you want!
We’ve renovated the pub, restoring its Art Nouveau interior and creating a welcoming ambience that can be enjoyed equally by those attending events at the nearby Huddersfield Town Hall, students from the University of Huddersfield, or anyone shopping or visiting the town.
The County has a good mix of new and traditional, with an often quirky events schedule and a great line in cocktails – many of which are TC originals, but we also welcome in the football crowd and our beer line-up is always amazing!
Food at The County
We offer a range of homemade bar snacks, match day (Huddersfield Town FC) food, and put on frequent pop-up food events. We can also cater for groups if pre-booked.

Our back room doubles as a function room. It comfortably accommodates up to 20 people, seated, and is free to hire so perfect for gatherings, hobby groups, and clubs.

We're trying out a new Yorkshire Cidery to mix up our bottles and still ciders (don't worry we'll always have Udders still!)
We've recently come to know Hornsea Orchard and seen how they're super passionate about local ingredients, traditional english apple cultivation and they've gotten inspiration from the Yorkshire Wolds with the fertile soil and unique climate of their coastal region. So from this they've created specialist ciders in bottles and BIB and we've started off with their Honey cider in box so this will go on the handpull we have as well as their fruit cider in bottles which uses local apples and is fruited by blackcurrants

Burdock - Sunkoop III (Canada, Toronto) , Burdocks latest bière de coupage, meaning it's a blend of old (barrel aged) and young (stainless steel fresh) beers blended together and bottle conditioned
Sonnen Hill - Something New (Canada, Ontario) a blend of three barrels, barrel one was Dornfelder fermented in stainless and aged in oak for one year, barrel two was saison aged on Chardonnay Musqué skins, and barrel three was a lil saison aged in oak for two years and refermented with haskaps. It’s got some funk, some rose character, real balanced acidity and tastes like homemade strawberry jam
