The County is the baby of the Beerhouses family, joining us in 2022. In that short time, we feel we have made our presence felt, being included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and winning Huddersfield CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 2024. The pub is also available for private hire so you can have the whole place to yourself, if you want!
We’ve renovated the pub, restoring its Art Nouveau interior and creating a welcoming ambience that can be enjoyed equally by those attending events at the nearby Huddersfield Town Hall, students from the University of Huddersfield, or anyone shopping or visiting the town.
The County has a good mix of new and traditional, with an often quirky events schedule and a great line in cocktails – many of which are TC originals, but we also welcome in the football crowd and our beer line-up is always amazing!
Food at The County
We offer a range of homemade bar snacks, match day (Huddersfield Town FC) food, and put on frequent pop-up food events. We can also cater for groups if pre-booked.

Our back room doubles as a function room. It comfortably accommodates up to 20 people, seated, and is free to hire so perfect for gatherings, hobby groups, and clubs.

The County in Huddersfield is now available for FREE private hire. Here are all the deets!
After alot of peeling labels, finding empty pumpclips and writing away on them all we've now got six of our eight beers for North v South beer event ready to go
Now all you can know is the style of the beer, percentage and whether its vegan or gluten free so no one can cheat and guess what the beers are. If you're not sure what we're talking about... well we've got a beer event on Friday 4th September with Will and Mickey battling it out over which end of the country has the best beers
Both with present four beers representing a style (pale, IPA, stout/porter and bitter) and from their choice of beer they both think they stand a chance to win your favourite and show once and for all which end has the best beers and win!
You'll try out each beer, learn some information about them and the breweries without actually learning what the brewery is or what the beer is. Then you vote based solely on the taste and info you've been given. Then at the end we'll reveal what the beers are and you can then argue that you made the right/wrong decision
Tickets are £25 with £5 of each ticket going towards charity (RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch ) so for £20 you get a guided tasting and eight beers... plus a fun night of arguing between the hosts and probably yourselves

Beer Beer Beer
Do you love beer? Do you love drinking beer? Do you like being guided through your beers and trying something new? Well these three events are for you!
Friday 4th September, 7pm - North vs South. Will and Mickey battle it out to prove once and for all which end of the country has the best beers. You'll try eight beers which you wont know who or what they are (so no bias picks!) and you get to vote on which is the ultimate favourite. £25 - £5 goes to charity per ticket!
Saturday 19th September - Czechtoberfest and tasting. Martin from Czech Beer Alliance is coming down on our first day of Czechtoberfest to guide you through the beers we've got and then we're generally celebrating until all the beers run off. £20 tickets for the tasting
Thursday 15th October - German vs Belgium. Will is leading our tap takeover of these two places with four kegs for each side as well as bottles and cans. No tickets needed just rock up and drink. Bar snacks will be made from Anais to compliment the beers we'll be pouring
