The County is the baby of the Beerhouses family, joining us in 2022. In that short time, we feel we have made our presence felt, being included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and winning Huddersfield CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 2024. The pub is also available for private hire so you can have the whole place to yourself, if you want!
We’ve renovated the pub, restoring its Art Nouveau interior and creating a welcoming ambience that can be enjoyed equally by those attending events at the nearby Huddersfield Town Hall, students from the University of Huddersfield, or anyone shopping or visiting the town.
The County has a good mix of new and traditional, with an often quirky events schedule and a great line in cocktails – many of which are TC originals, but we also welcome in the football crowd and our beer line-up is always amazing!
Food at The County
We offer a range of homemade bar snacks, match day (Huddersfield Town FC) food, and put on frequent pop-up food events. We can also cater for groups if pre-booked.

Function Room
Our back room doubles as a function room. It comfortably accommodates up to 20 people, seated, and is free to hire so perfect for gatherings, hobby groups, and clubs.

We are joining in on the Eat Crisps app which is free on google play or apple which lets you track and rate the snacks and crisps you've had from County and Sportsman
We'll be checking over the data to see which is the top favourite snack and to see whos had the most snacks or most variety so make sure to track all that you buy over crisp fest and you may get to show up on our socials
If someone tries all 50+ snacks then theres a chance to win a prize! (We'll see what goodies we can throw at someone for being the ultimate snacker!) ...

Huddersfield International Crisp Fest is so close you can almost taste it
We've got three fun events for you to come to to fill you with lots of tasty beer and even tastier snacks. We've got Liam running our crisp quiz, another Liam coming from Thornbridge to do a guided tasting of beer and snacks and then Anais is whipping up some messy but tasty butties to go alongside some beers
