The County is the baby of the Beerhouses family, joining us in 2022. In that short time, we feel we have made our presence felt, being included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and winning Huddersfield CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 2024. The pub is also available for private hire so you can have the whole place to yourself, if you want!
We’ve renovated the pub, restoring its Art Nouveau interior and creating a welcoming ambience that can be enjoyed equally by those attending events at the nearby Huddersfield Town Hall, students from the University of Huddersfield, or anyone shopping or visiting the town.
The County has a good mix of new and traditional, with an often quirky events schedule and a great line in cocktails – many of which are TC originals, but we also welcome in the football crowd and our beer line-up is always amazing!
Food at The County
We offer a range of homemade bar snacks, match day (Huddersfield Town FC) food, and put on frequent pop-up food events. We can also cater for groups if pre-booked.

Available for private hire
Did you know that as well as a function room for small groups, you can HIRE THE ENTIRE PUB for your own event? Perfect for any kind of party, wedding celebrations, christenings, or work do and guess what – it’s free to hire*!
We’re pub people, so we know how to throw a great party. We can offer homecooked food, cater to drink requests, and even create a bespoke cocktail if that’s what you want. We know plenty of great bands and DJs so we can help with the entertainment as well.
Do you know anywhere else in Huddersfield town centre that can offer this?..

🌈 Celebrating 45 Years of Huddersfield Pride! 🌈
The first weekend of July marks the 45th anniversary of Huddersfield Pride – the first Pride rally in the UK outside of London!
To celebrate this incredible milestone, we've decided to shine a spotlight on some amazing queer-owned UK businesses, alongside our usual presentation and cheese board craic.
As always, it's a fun, friendly, and informative afternoon filled with great conversation, community spirit, and plenty of laughs. Whether you're looking to learn something new, meet like-minded people, or simply relax after Saturday's Pride celebrations, we'd love for you to join us.
Come along for an afternoon of fun, connection, and a chance to unwind after the weekend's shenanigans. 🏳️🌈✨
We can't wait to see you there! ... See MoreSee Less
