Calling Horbury’s budding photographers
Horbury in Wakefield is blessed with a plethora of brilliant pubs (including our own Cricketers Beerhouse) so, having seen the success of the Huddersfield pub map that we created (see our Huddopoly map!) we have decided to create a Horbury pub map. This will be a resource for all the pubs in the village and act as a guide to everyone looking for the great beers, good food, lovely beer gardens, and fantastic events that the venues offer.
To truly do the guide justice, we want a great photo of Horbury for the front and who could provide a better photo than a Horbury resident? We are, therefore running a photo competition, appealing to amateur photographers in the area to enter their photos that they think really represent the village. We’ll choose the one that we think best showcases Horbury and it will be featured front and centre on the map. In return you will get a credit on the map and, of course, the pride of seeing your photo in pubs, venues, and businesses all around the village.
What we need
Your photo needs to comply with the following:
- Be your own photo and not subject to any copyright
- Represent Horbury at its best but not of any one particular pub
- Be portrait (vertical) in format
- Be high enough quality for print
How to enter
You can enter as many photos as you want to and the deadline for entry is 21st June at 5pm. Please send your photos to Sarah Miles at smiles@beerhouses.co.uk, including your full name. Entry will indicate that you are happy for us to reproduce the photo on the map and Horbury pub socials and marketing. We can’t wait to see them!
