Enjoy the best beers and pubs that Huddersfield has to offer

Q: What’s better than a proper pub serving excellent real ale and craft beer?

A: 10 of them, all in the same town centre!

Huddersfield has more than its fair share of fantastic pubs dedicated to serving a range of finely crafted beers, who pride themselves on serving a perfect pint, and back independent brewers and the beer industry in general. We are very proud to operate two of them, The Sportsman and The County.

We all do well when we’re all doing well

The pub industry is challenging but rather than compete against each other for the same customers, we think that the best approach is to work together because when we create a positive experience for customers, giving them choice, allowing them to sample a range of beers, and creating a vibrant town centre, we all benefit.

To facilitate this, there is a new map, showing Huddersfield’s real ale and craft trail. It features 10 pubs in the town that we know offer high quality real ales and/or craft beers. Never again will beer lovers have to wonder where to go as this map shows where they all are, and the flyer offers you a little insight into them all. The pubs are:

  • The Sportsman
  • The County
  • Magic Rock Tap
  • Rat & Ratchet
  • The Grove
  • The King’s Head
  • Head of Steam
  • The Parish
  • Arcade Beers
  • Northern Quarter

See the trail

Whether you plan to take in a selection at a time or all 10 in one day (though perhaps stick to a half or even a third in each one!), this map makes it easy.

You will see the trail on posters in the pubs and you can pick up a flyer, but if you want to do some forward planning, you can download the flyer here. You can also see it on our socials.

All the pubs on the trail are looking forward to welcoming you and guiding you through our beer offerings and we’d love to hear what you think of the trail. Let us know on our socials.
