The Cricketers is the only Beerhouse pub located in a village and not a town centre, set in the charming surroundings of Horbury in Wakefield. Family and dog friendly, we have a real fire roaring in the grate in the winter and a covered beer garden for the summer.
Originally built in 1898 in an Arts & Crafts style, it still retains many original features, including the distinctive wooden bar and beautiful stained glass windows. You may even have seen The Cricketers on TV as it was used as a filming location in Sky movie Tinsel Town, starring Kiefer Sutherland and Rebel Wilson!
As you would expect from a Beerhouses pub, we have an excellent range of rotating cask ales on the bar and have consistently appeared in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since 2012 as well as won numerous awards.

We’ve been known for putting on the odd beer festival and we have a number of regular events to enjoy.

Friday: Meat Raffle from 6:30pm
Second Sunday of each month: Open Mic 4:30-8:30pm
Last Sunday of each month: Live Music 4:30pm
Function Room
Our cosy function room, seating up to 30 people is free to hire for parties, meetings, or groupings of any kind.
