“John Montana is a blues-rock guitar virtuoso, singer and songwriter hailing from Manchester, UK, known for his soulful and electrifying performances that blur the lines between traditional blues, blues-rock, funk, and soul with psychedelic elements, creating a unique sound that sets him apart.
With a lifelong musical career spanning over 35 years, John has an extensive background in the music industry and there is not much on the music scene that he hasn’t done. He has toured with rock and blues bands, played with swing big-bands, backed Broadway-style production shows in the orchestra pit and has countless hours of studio session work under his belt. He has shared his music with audiences around the world, having travelled across Europe, the US, and Australia and has had the honour of performing at exclusive events such as a charity event hosted by the Romanian Royal family and White House VIP receptions. Despite his impressive accomplishments, John remains grounded and can sometimes be found busking the streets of Manchester, always seeking to connect with his audience and share his passion for music.
Throughout his musical journey, John has had the privilege of working on stage or recording with many great artists, including Jimmy ‘Jaymz’ Denning (Tenors of Rock), Andrew Bourne (Jack Pack), and David Pastorius (Pat Travers, Carl Palmer).

As the frontman of The John Montana Trio, John has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the blues rock scene, including Robben Ford, Eric Gales, Beth Heart, Larkin’ Poe and Samantha Fish, among others. The John Montana Trio, known for their energetic live performances, was also seen playing iconic venues such as The Cavern Club in Liverpool and the 100 Club in London and they are a frequent presence in the UK’s thriving blues-rock scene, playing festivals and venues across the country and abroad.
Whether playing an intimate club or a packed festival stage, John’s powerful vocals, virtuoso guitar skills, and infectious energy captivate audiences and leave them wanting more. He is a performer who always delivers, and we invite you to join his mailing list and follow him on social media to stay up-to-date on his latest releases, tour dates, and news”
