Dewsbury’s original blues festival is back for a second outing

Dewsbury’s first blues festival, aptly named Bluesbury, made its debut in September 2024 and it went down a storm. Set on the iconic Platform 3 at The West Riding on Dewsbury Railway Station, the 3 day festival saw acts like Kyla Brox, Dave Arcari, DC Blues, and Crosscut Saw, plus many more. It’s a collaboration between ourselves and renowned blues artist, producer, and promoter, Pat Fulgoni, and last year’s event was highly acclaimed by blues fans who came from far a wide to be part of it. Of course, Pat’s band, The Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience, performed a stand-out set as well.

Back for 2025

We are, therefore, delighted to announce that Bluesbury is back again for 2025. This year’s event will take place 12-14 September with Pat once again at the helm, bringing in yet more blues talent.

This year, there’ll be an all-new line up to keep things fresh. Artist announcements are underway over on the Facebook page and include Trevor Babajack Steger and Jesse Benns, Lightning Threads, James O’Hara Band, Jon Taylor’s Blues Spectrum, and Julian Socha, with new reveals continuing over the coming days and weeks.

Pat said: “We had such a blast in 2024 and it’s a real honour to be doing it all again. We learned so much last year, plus the reputation that the event earned goes a long way in getting talent involved so I’m predicting that this one will be even better. Watch this space!”
