Beerhouses Brewing launches team character beers
As well as serving amazing beers from a wide variety of breweries, we’ve been creating a few bespoke brews of our own for a little while, working with trusted brewing partners. You may have seen our ‘HOUSE’ range on our bars, including BirdHOUSE, PowerHOUSE, SummerHOUSE plus special occasion brews such as Bluesbeard for Bluesbury and HOUSEhold – a collab beer with our bar friend in Manly Australia, The Hold.
Raising a drink to the team
We’ve now embarked on a new series of delicious beers where we raise a pint to our greatest asset – our people. These are beers that we’re creating to celebrate members of the Beerhouses team. This includes many people you will know in our pubs who look after you so well, plus those you may not be so familiar with – the team from behind the scenes at head office who look after the accounts, the business operations, the marketing and more.
Each beer’s recipe will be designed around the preference of its namesake and will get its own bespoke caricature, drawn by professional cartoonist, Hugh ‘Shug’ Raine.
The first brew is Kipperoo!
Kicking off the series is a beer dedicated to our accounts director and force of nature, Clare Cleverly aka Kipper. Her brew of choice is a 3.8% ABV raspberry blonde, which we’ve named Kipperoo’s Brew. You can see in the photo above, Kipper herself pulling a pint of Kipperoo’s Brew! Her caricature captures her mischievous smile and her love of Huddersfield Town! This brew hit the bars in September, just in time for Kipper to celebrate a quite significant birthday.
From Kipperoo to who?..
Next up on the schedule is Jo Waude, manager of The Cricketers in Horbury. She’s opted for a 4.2% ABV Citra Pale. This will be pouring from mid-November. Closing the year out will be a beer dedicated to food manager at the West Riding, Carole Hemming, whose birthday it is on Christmas Eve. What else could we name this but Christmas Carole?!
