The Terrace Bar

The Terrace is a little different to the rest of the Beerhouses family, as it’s not a pub in the traditional sense, but an events and private hire venue. With a standing capacity of 100 and seated capacity of 40, it’s something of a chameleon; equally lending itself to a private party, live music venue, or club night.

The Terrace for Private Parties

Though it doesn’t operate as a pub these days, The Terrace has been a pub under various names in its previous life. Many have known it as The Glue Pot or The Old Turk prior to it becoming one of the Beerhouses family. It, therefore, feels like a pub and that’s what makes it such a great place to throw your own party or event as you’re, essentially, hiring your own pub for the evening. Also, did we mention it’s free hire?..

The Terrace for Gigs & Events

Being such an intimate venue, The Terrace is an amazing space for live music and DJ club nights, and it’s lent itself to multiple genres. From our relaxed Sunday Socials featuring blues artists like Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience, Wadcutter Blues, and Leeds City Stompers to big DJ club nights with everyone from local talent to huge names on the dance music scene like Allister Whitehead, Utah Saints, and Jeremy Healy, and a bit of rock, folk, and alt-goth in between, it’s an amazing vibe.

The Terrace since 2021 – but occasionally something else…

We took over The Old Turk in 2014 and continued to run it as a rock/goth bar as it had been for several years. However, the lockdowns of 2020/21 changed things, as they did for many hospitality venues. Unable to run it in the same way, due to covid restrictions, we adapted, renaming it The Terrace due to the heated, covered terrace we installed outside to ensure that we had a chill out space that could be used all year round. However, it has been known as a few more names, even since then – at least temporarily!

Used as a filming location for The Long Shadow, the ITV drama about the Yorkshire Ripper, it masqueraded as ‘70s pub, The Perseverance Hotel in Bradford. It was also renamed The Dog & Hammer for a private party, and we even changed it to The Dave Beerhouse when Back to Basics founder, Dave Beer played here! It truly is a versatile venue!

Snake Davis is returning to The Terrace… and this time he’s bringing the whole band 🎷🔥

The Snake Davis Band

After the incredible success of his Live Lounge set earlier this year, Snake is back — but we’re switching the mood from laid-back listening to full-on dancefloor magic. Expect grooves, soul, rhythm, and that signature Snake Davis sparkle.

For anyone new to Snake: he’s one of the UK’s most respected sax players, known for his work with M-People, Take That, Paul Hardcastle, and a long list of global icons. His sound has shaped decades of British soul and dance, and seeing him with his full band in a venue this small is something truly special.

Only 70 tickets are available.
