Up and coming Huddersfield act Hebble kick off the latest Sunday Socials series. This year we are mixing up the genres and going in eclectic!
“Folk standards, catchy choruses, belting rhythms, and tunes to make the heart sing. Hebble are an eclectic world folk band with an unusual set of instruments that play lively, international traditional music in multiple languages. Hebble are Greek Bouzouki, Bodhran, and Cello + 3 vocals. We play English, Czech, Polish, Irish, Scottish, and Appalachian folk music. We also have a handful of original songs inspired by Yorkshire myth and landscape. Upbeat and alternative with twists of jazz, and plenty of three-part harmonies”
MAGGIE GARRAT of MEWL music said: “From the very first tune, they had the audience eating out of their hands. Every time they kicked off another song or tune, the expectation of ‘ what now?’ was palpable. Not only are they superb musicians, the warmth and humour of each personality shines through on stage. I cant wait to get these guys back.”
