His music draws from various musical genres including Blues\, Gospel\, Folk\, Jazz and Hip Hop as well as various ‘World’ musics\, such as African\, Hawaiian and Indian. \nWorking with acoustic finger style and bottleneck guitar\, harmonica and occasional ukulele\, Scott draws on his wide love for these types of music and celebrates the joy of pure creativity.\nIn January 2023\, Scott released his twelfth studio album\, ‘Dark Money’\, which is a collection of longer form vocal pieces\, blues\, folk and roots songs and just a a dash of questing spiritual jazz. All these recent albums have received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. \nAll of Scott’s work evokes a wide range of emotions and feelings from his listeners\, as he tackles subjects such as love\, life\, death\, loss\, hope and the possibility of being ‘wrong’ about everything.\nOver the last few years Cerys Matthews has played a number of Scott’s songs on her ‘Blues Show’ on BBC Radio 2\, which has generated a wider interest in his work. \nThroughout the year\, Scott can be found playing extensive shows all over the UK. Every performance is delivered with creativity\, passion and a large dose homespun humour. \nThe Sunday Socials series is a monthly blues-inspired music and social event held on the last Sunday of each month from November to March. Alan and Daz are reforming and staging a Vinyls Revival for one night only on Friday 2nd February 2024 in honour of Independent Venue Week. The Collective remains in the spirit of Django and Stephane\, whilst pushing the genre of ‘gypsy jazz’ forward into a modern sphere. \nThe group consists of the traditional guitar (Lewis Kilvington and Martin Chung)\, double bass (James Munroe) and violin (Derek Magee) outfit with additional clarinet (Christine Pinkard) and were recently featured in Guitarist magazine about Django Reinhardt legacy. They recently sold out a headline slot at the Leyburn Jazz Festival in 2022.
